J-28-Valley Aspens-I painted this scene on the outskirts of Winthrop, Washington on my way to the Pacific Crest Trail. Autumn in the Methow Valley is mesmerizing; the air is crisp and cool, the forest on fire with color, and wildlife (elk, deer, bear) abound.
