Kiltumper Secrets

Kiltumper Secrets-In County Clare in the town of Kiltumper, Ireland, this abandoned cottage, engulfed in heather and wildflowers, was once the home of two sisters. While visiting there, we were told that many of the women's belongings still remain inside the cottage walls, including their grand piano. We also learned the long driveway signified wealth, as those of slimmer means lived closer to the main road. Kiltumper is the home of Niall Williams, a successful Irish author and his wife, Christine Breen; Barb took a writing workshop from Niall, while I painted their garden.
